A simulation game with environmental storytelling about colour mixing and the colour story its colours create.
The player can learn how to play the game through instructions which are infographics or video game play embedded in the game.
Progression for beginners to advance: The game enables the player as a beginner to learn just to fill the bottle using a left mouse click on the coloured tank or use the appropriate letter on the keyboard. As the player progresses, badges which implement levels of difficulty are allocated this enables the player to perform the task of mixing colours which can range from 2 colour mixes to more colour mixes.
Colour Lerp has been implemented to enable drop mixing and limitless colour mixing.
There is a hint for each sample shown to state exactly how each colour needs to be mixed to achieve the sample colour shown. The hint is a choice for the player to use.
The conveyor belt enables the bottle to move without effort while the left arrow and right arrow keys can be used to make the bottles move backwards and forward- this is essential when the player’s badge is a tester or above that enables the player to mix colours.
The impossible triangle flips from right to left due to the effect as a positive result or negative result. It flips into the lock position when the filled bottle matches the sample while it flips into the disconnected position when the filled bottle does not match the sample.
Sample Screen shows the item needed and the name of the colour is displayed alongside as well as the colour strength which can be mild or intense.
An explosion occurs in the mountain when the Colour Bucks(money in the game) is in negative thereby triggering a rainfall which then creates ripples. All these will stop when the “Colour Bucks is in positive numbers or value. The negative value of the points known as Colour Stats does not affect the explosion, rainfall and ripples. It only affects the unlocking of the book titled “Tales of the Refinery”.
The lilies float on the river and have industry icons concealed in them.
The player has the choice of using its rewards from filling the bottles and the industry’s icons gotten from the lilies to open the storybook where stories are in audio and text format.
The items or collections needed for the opening of each page of the book are listed on each book’s page.
The player also has the choice of taking part in in-game and out-game events.

The Game Objects Diary details the characteristics of each game object.
The visuals throughout the game are consistent in that in the storybook, some of the visuals are used to tell the colour story.
There is constant feedback throughout the game with game objects and spatial environment. A pause button to make the game still while attending to other issues in real life. From the game scene, the player can exit the game.
Due to scores saving across all scenes, the only way to restart the game and not have a score is when the player exits the game.
